Review content:
I work with a small book publisher that has thousands of unsold books languishing in a storage warehouse and piling up high monthly storage charges. When I finally faced reality and decided to dispose of the un-saleable stock of books, I braced for a one-time receiving charge from a scrap paper recycling company. To my pleasant surprise, I found Paper Rush in San Francisco, which charges nothing when you drop off books or other printed matter. They bale and ship the printed matter overseas for recycling. I simply drove my rented truck into their facility, paused a minute or so on their truck scale, and pulled into their yard when they gave me the all-clear. Then their friendly and energetic yard workers removed my pallet of books with a forklift. I didn't need to fill out any paperwork, and completed the drop-off in less than a half hour.
Pros: Free disposal of excess printed matter
Cons: crowded off-loading yard
