I usually dont write reviews but a lot of people are trashing a good store. I have been shopping there since I was 14 I am now 26. Recently I needed my guitar set up for a big show coming up and they rushed me to the top of the list so I would have it in time. I also bought a guitar there took it home and once I plugged it into my Mesa didnt really like the sound of the guitar, they took it back no questions asked and marked it as a used item so it wouldnt get sold as new which some stores dont do. Whenever I go in there regardless of how long its been the guys in the guitar department always remember me and ask me how my equipment is holding up and they actually remember the brands I use. I also call in a lot and have them special order things for me and its always right and on time.
Cons: They dont always carry a lot of high end amps so I usually have to take my own stuff in there to test things out before buying them. Yes they will let you do that, just call ahead.
Everyone thinks they should be waited on at the drop of a hat when there are 30 other people in the store, be realistic. As far as the comment below about them thinking they know Van Halen, lots of musicians do Clinics at Sam Ash's including Van Halen so they just might know him. :)
