I'm the owner and I felt that I had to respond to JohnH853's review.
His feelings about Debbie and his sexual preference for a sales person are his personal taste. And he has a right to publish that here (but if anyone really need to talk to a guy just come by on the weekends when Richard is there).
However his statements about my store's pipe tobacco pricing are just plain wrong!
Pipe tobacco prices that have risen at our store are because our distributors have raised their price. Not because we have increased our markup! We use basically the same standard pricing structure that Hugh (the previous owner) used! And we certainly don't double the price of popular tobaccos (although some of the tobaccos have been discounted to reduce inventory).
But the real reason I decided to publish this is his accusation about ""wetting"" our pipe tobacco to increase profit. The statement is ridiculous and untrue! We sell all of our products exactly as they are received from our distributors!
We have maintained a large, happy and loyal customer base. Come by our store some time and you'll why.
