On Saturday, May 8th, my brother and I took our elderly mother to Mannino's for a Pre-Mother’s Day lunch. It was the first time we had been to Mannino’s. We will never return.\r

We were seated next to a party of (perhaps 12) children screaming, jumping, running, and crawling all over the place. They were having a Communion “celebration”. The noise level from those under-8 year olds was intense, especially the high pitched screeching. They couldn’t be corralled in. One little boy attempted to crawl under our table. All the while, old-MacDonald music blasted as the kids shrieked. We couldn't converse due to the piercing noise. My mom ended up with a headache. Happy Mother’s Day.\r

Even more abominable, a woman dressed as a clown was painting the hands of the children. I was appalled to see that THE CLOWN WAS DIPPING HER PAINT BRUSHES IN THE WATER GLASSES FROM MANNINO’S. Gross! Where is the Board of Health?\r

The parents, friends and relatives of these children sat ON THE OTHER SIDE of the restaurant. Meanwhile, my family, as well as two or three other tables, was stuck right next to the caterwauling kids.\r

When a waitress asked if everything was okay, I told her, “No.” I asked to speak to the manager, but she said he wouldn’t be back for a while. I told her that the children were out of control. She replied that the restaurant does this sort of thing FREQUENTLY.\r

One couple walked out complaining to each other. The table diagonal from us kept shaking their heads and rolling their eyes. Mannino’s is too small y to turn it into a riotous Chuck E. Cheese. \r

I wrote to the manager, Joe Mannino, explaining nicely about how this sort of crowd needs to be controlled. I NEVER HEARD FROM MANNINOS. What kind of a place is this where the owner is so independent that he never bothers to contact a patron??? Believe me I shall go back to this restaurant again.\r
