I took my Bernina in July 6. It was dead. No power, would not turn on.
SMS determined it would need a circuit board and needed to ordered it. The part came in July 27. On July 30, it was determined, it was the wrong board. The tech called Bernina, and suggested another board. Another part ordered. By mid August, the part arrived. It was determined, the machined needed 2 boards. I will credit them giving me a discount on one of the board. The first return of the machine was Sept 8.
However, when the machine was returned to me, after paying $550, the tech did not do a thorough quality check. I had an error and the thread cutter did not work. Also, the module for my stitch regulator was missing from the cover. So I sent the machine back, the next day.
The tech discovered my cover was mixed up with another Bernina, and had been sent home with another customer. Now it is Sept 21, the Bernina is repaired and home with me.
