Review content:
My car was shaking so I took my car to my local repair shop. He told me that the steel belts have shifted in all four tires. Since the tire was bought just a little over a year ago and were under waranty I decided to bring the car back to Mavis. Mavis denied that the steel belts had shifted and all that was needed was the tires to be balanced. They balanced the tires and told me they were good to go. Two weeks later my front tire blows out on a main highway.\r
I brought the car back to Mavis where they stated that the tire blew from normal wear and tear and the mechanic in his shop missed the signs of possible trouble.\r
These were 70,000 mile tires and should not have blown out like this. THey said the only possible solution was to give me two no-name tires for $150.00 and that they were eating most of the cost. They even had the audacity of charging me for balancing and alignment.\r
I think they should have not charged me being that I would not be in this position if they didnt mess up.\r
Needless to say I am stopping the check so the only cost I will have is the $35.00 check stop fee. Let them come after me for the money I will not pay no matter what the outcome. \r
Please go to any other place but don't go to Mavis of Syosset.\r
