Don't trust this place! They tried telling me I needed $500 worth of work done on my car when I didn't! I made an appt here to get my brakes checked and an oil change. I noticed a few weeks ago, my brakes were starting to squeak a bit on my 2008 toyota camry. I bought the car new 3 years ago, so figured it was probably time for new front brake pads....\r Gary from Midas in Hanover called me about 45 minutes after I dropped the car off to tell me they checked my car out and said I needed new front pads and rotars. Said the rotars were really bad, so bad that they couldn't even be scraped down, they had to be replaced...and said new front pads, rotars and a conventional oil change was going to come to $517.95!!! I immediately questioned him, and asked for a breakdown...he said the brake job came to about $450. My next question was how a $19.95 oil change was now $67...he said the difference was the cost for tools used to change my car - really!?! I told him I was all set...i had received 2 other quotes for new front pads and rotars that came in over $100 less than him and he basically told me that was impossible and that they must have given me the wrong information (aka, you're a girl so you must not have asked for the proper information). On my way to pick up my car, he calls me back to say he could replace the rotars and just put my existing pads back on because they're not that bad. Now I'm no expert, but i know you should never do that!! I brought my car to the Auto place right down the street from my house for a second opinion who ended up telling me that my rotars are completely fine, and that i could go another 10 thousand miles on the pads before I'd need new ones so they would just do the oil change. I went from $517 to $19.95 thanks to someone who knows how to run a successful business based off of honesty.
