Businiess name:  Sugar Shack Baking Co

First off, I LOVE the mural on the side of this bakery. It's great to see business owners incorporate art into their space, and too few do it externally. S.S. has got rotating art installations inside about once a month, too. Very cool. Anyway, onto the review... \r \r It's a fabulous thing to have access to an actual homestyle bakery in this neighborhood. I lived in Roosevelt, and nothing quite cut it -- every coffee shop and cafe seemed to have the same commercial bakery offerings. But Sugar Shack? Now, THIS is the real McCoy. The following list is filled with just a few of the things I've indulged on this past year, and every last thing was fresh and fantastic: scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, pies, cookies, bread pudding, quiche, made-to-order sandwiches, soups, crazy layer cookie bar thing that I almost went to heaven over, and awesome juices (Some crazy fresh stuff they get from somewhere local, I think? Don't remember the name, but it's great!). I've tried so much, but it's not even all of their menu! Plus, they serve up great coffee no matter what you order. There is definitely a reason behind all of the buzz (reason = really good, friendly, busy bee owner and bakers). Don't skip it. Pros: Awesome breakfast and lunch spot Cons: Wish it was a little bigger, more seating
