My husband and I hired World Moving Services out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida who hired this company to move our furnishings from Iowa to Arkansas (a 7 hour drive). The driver showed up with no money, food or fuel. The 53 foot semi ran out of gas before they left Iowa and left the semi in the middle of the road and just walked off. Left our things unsecured, the truck unlocked with the keys in the ignition and an impression of our credit card in our paperwork on the seat. The owner, Rodney insisted on his money up front. We had no choice. They were suppose to deliver on the 11th and finally delivered on the 16th. The owner never called with an update. We were suppose to pay by weight and the truck was NEVER weighed. He took money based on a very high estimate saying we would get the money back if it didn't weigh that much but they are refusing any sort of compensation. World Moving Services said it was against the law to do that but they REFUSE any sort of compensation also. We feel we were very ripped off. DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES. YOU WILL BE SORRY!
