Review content:
My boyfriend and I decided to go here last minute after discovering that Ruth Chris' had an open reservation for the time we wanted (I tried to make reservation days prior but they were already booked! It was a miracle we actually got one!!!). It's located in the Hilton. When we entered we were told our table is downstairs in the private dining room. A little thrown off by that, I was a little nervous on this dining room, but once we entered and they opened the curtains for the night so everyone had a view of the water, IT WAS AMAZING! Our waitress was INCREDIBLY nice and helpful! I wanted to get a glass of wine with my dinner, because I rarely drink wine, and I feel I have to at such a nice place! When in rome, right? So I ordered the petite filet with a size of lobster mac and cheese, which she said was a special. She paired my meal with a Reisling, the only wine I've ever enjoyed. My boyfriend ordered the tuna steak with garlic mashed potatos as his side. Our meals came and I had two petite filets, I guess I didnt pay attention to the menu! But it was cooked perfectly. I don't eat a lot of red meat, but this was very very very delicious. The lobster mac and cheese was incredible, but very very cheesy and filling. I do wish it was a little lighter. My boyfriend in return loved his meal too! His mashed potatos were light and fluffy. For dessert we got the banana cream pie dessert. The man who brought it out actually confused our table and another and switched the desserts but it was quickly fixed. I didn't think the dessert was anything special, but it is a steak house.. so I dont imagine the dessert to be spectacular.. BUT for the price.. it couldve been a lot better. Or at least bigger! Our bill came to about $130 but it was definitely worth it for a special occasion. We will be back here!
