Review content:
This is my first review I've written of any food establishment - I've never taken the time to actually review a restaurant, etc. online. So maybe that'll add to the notion that this deli/bakery is THE best one in the San Diego area. La Jolla Baking Co. is run by a husband/wife combo from some Russian country (I don't know exactly what country they're from but they have a fantastic accent) and they are so friendly - it's geniunely refreshing to go back someplace where they will remember your name! So, back to the food: I have never been anywhere that can make a sandwich like Sam! He's simply the best. I get a Number 21 - it has turkey, avocado, bacon, swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce, mustard and mayo on FRESHLY baked sourdough bread. The bread alone is to die for! Every time I get a sandwich, it's made right and Sam really piles it on! This place is the best and even though it's kind of out of the way for most people - it's well worth the trip! I can't find another place like it! Try it out! \r \r - Dustin Pros: Refreshing customer service, great quality, big portions Cons: In an out-of-the-way area, specific hours of operation
