Part 1: We live in Sky Properties. They are terrible. Vista lost our rent in January, then took us to court over it in May. They are claiming we owe them rent for several months now, even when we have images from our bank proving that Vista canceled the checks. They charge late payments, even though they stamp the checks as arrived on-time. The court thing is now an ongoing part of our life as we try to clean up behind Vista's incompetence. First they waited over 90 days to even report the late payment to us, then told us they never received payment for April, then March, then January. Now, according to them, we owe them for May and June. The owner, Barry, said to me ""Just give me the money and this will all go away."" What professionalism. Meanwhile they have a loose dryer vent that is spewing lint into the same room with the water heaters and gas lines in our building. They have refused to fix this even though it is a tremendous fire hazard. I have personally asked one of Sky Properties' contractors to fix it so our building doesn't explode, and he told me that he wasn't allowed to, that Vista would sue him for repairing the dryer vent (to save money, I suppose). He also told me that Vista is now letting pedophiles into Sky's buildings. I wish I was joking. We want out of here so bad. Part 2: So we finally got out of the Vista Management property. We emailed them asking for a bill with all the charges they say we owe them to be sent to our new address. We resigned ourselves to the fact that we were going to have to pay the $1000 rent payment that VISTA LOST, not us. Because we can not find the money order receipts that we used to pay rent that month... we can not prove anything. After not receiving the bill that I asked for, I called the office and those morons sent it to the wrong address! So since the bill was never paid (because they are idiots) they sent it to collections. Vista Management has screwed up so many times. I thought I would be done with them when I moved out, but their incompetence is still affecting my life.
