Review content:
I lived here just under 2 years. When we first looked at the place we were amazed at how clean the building was, a huge change from my last place. We were also impressed that the managers were willing to let us paint the apartment to make it feel like home. I painted the hall way, living room and dining room. The manager said we had the prettiest apt in the entire building. Then things started to go bad. We noticed that the manager smoked like a chimney and smoked everywhere in the building. The hallways, lobby, laundry room, pool room, everywhere smelled like a bar when she was around. This continued after Denver passed the smoking ban in public places. We also found that the managers locked off the elevators anytime they felt like it. If they were showing apartments they would lock them off the entire time they were on that floor. There were many times in the AM that I took the stairs down from the 7th floor after waiting 5 mins for an elevator. Then there were security issues. Somehow someone got into the underground garage and broke into my car. Then when we were moving out we asked the manager what we had to do with the painted walls, leave them, prime them or paint them back to original. We were told more than once that 2 coats of primer was good enough because they always paint everything anyway. I spent a lot of time priming everything, the walls were almost solid white when I was done and used almost 5 gallons of primer. We left the building, told the manager we were out and asked them to call us with any problems. Never heard from them until about 45 days later when we got our deposit. They with held $195 for paint and carpet, which we had just cleaned ourselves. We also gave them 2 referals which both ended up moving into the building. The manager told us to take them to court, even telling me how I needed to file the docs. If you move here don't expect to get all of your deposit back not matter how good of renter you are. Pros: good floorplans, great view, pretty quite buiding, great area Cons: smoking manger makes the building smell, don't expect all of your deposit back
