Review content:
I've been eating out at Dave's for over five years, and year after year I think they're only getting better!! It may take a while for new things to be added to the menu but it's worth the wait. When they added the SweetTang and the Wade Special i didn't eat anything else there for weeks! And I hear they're working on new things now!!
I don't really understand many of the bad reviews. Most of the times I eat there, it's pretty busy so there's obviously something good happening. I also know for a fact that they contribute a substantial amount to the surrounding community. I saw their gift certificates at the Shades Cahaba Elementary school's festival. They also are currently helping to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation and i remember a few years ago donating to the Susan G. Komen foundation through Dave's. Point is, they may not give products away every time they are asked, but I wouldn't accuse them of ignoring the community that clearly loves them.
Overall: good food, good service, happy hour specials better than most bars.
