Review content:
I had an English Mastiff for fifteen years and recently had to put him down. It took a bit to decide to get another dog. I searched around and read a few reviews for other pet stores and mistakenly thought that a family run business would be good because it was family operated. When I went to Laughlin Kennel I was assaulted with a horrible smell. The dogs are kept out of sight and when they brought out the mastiff puppy I asked about he had deworming medicine all over his face. I asked a few basic questions about the care and the girl who ran the office seemed baffled, by even simple questions. Poor little guy made me feel like I would have been abandoning him if I left him there. When I bought him we found out he had the parvo virus. Now we're stuck watching our poor little guy as the virus does its work. Not only is it traumatic watching this happen, but I find myself in tears daily as I clean his bloody stool up whenever he makes the inevitable mistakes. I know I should put him down, but as a lifelong catholic I'm having a hard time making that vet appointment. I would NOT go here again. \r \r
