Decarli was highly recommended through a friend of a friend, though I have to admit to having some skepticism at finding a great restaurant in downtown Beaverton. Sure, there are some really good places to eat out in the burbs, but you always go to downtown Portland when you want the best, right? Well, maybe not any longer. Our group tried a variety of menu items this evening: beet & pear salad with endive, polenta fries, tombo tuna with orange, wild boar pappardelle, arugula salad, roasted chicken.\r \r Every single thing we tried was fantastic. The salads were fresh and not over-dressed. The meats were perfectly prepared and seasoned. The portions were more than sufficient without being overwhelming. And best of all, the prices, while not cheap, were perfectly reasonable for the quantity and quality of food.\r \r The decor at Decarli is pretty basic, but the atmosphere is comfortable, open, and conducive to a great evening out with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Probably not a great place for small kids, as the menu items are a bit eclectic for young palates. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. We are already planning our next excuse to visit.\r Pros: Wonderful food and service Cons: Location is a bit awkward being on a one-way near a busy intersection
