Review content:
I visited Pub 71 this weekend and was overly satisfied with my experience! It was my second visit, but the first time I had actually tried a few of the entrees on the menu as well as a few of the specialty cocktails. Also, it was my first time on a weekend night, so we were able to hear live music as well. A group of six of us dined out on the patio...beginning with a round of Sweet Water Hummers- great way to start off the evening! We shared the blue cheese chips (to die for), the chicken nachos and the signature avocado corn salsa- delicious. I had the crab cake sandwich- and let me just say- it is truly the best crab cake sandwich i have ever had. As a self-proclaimed foodie, i have tasted my fair share of crab cakes and this one is full of flavor and has almost no breading!! My boyfriend ordered the Atlanta Flame (which is a 10 oz. ribeye served w/ fire roasted peppers and onions) and could not have been happier- it was cooked to perfection. A couple of other dishes at our table included the Shepherd's Pie, fish and chips (Cod-delicious) and the grilled Ahi Tuna. Our service was wonderful; very attentive and cheerful waitress. It made our experience special to have the Executive Chef/Owner greet our table and ask about our evening. We finished off the night hours later, with a chocolate molten cake that literally melted in our mouths and the bananas foster bread pudding which was unlike any banana dessert I had ever tasted. It was awesome! All in all, i will definitely revisit Pub 71 and will continue to tell my friends, family and co-workers that it is the perfect combination of casual dining, great food and a fun atmosphere in Atlanta.
