Review content:
At the end of the 2010 summer, my evaporator coils in my A/C unit went out. The A/C unit itself was only 2 years old, but the evaporator coils (located in the furnace) were 21 years old. After having company A come out to troubleshoot the problem (they charged me $251 to re-charge the system and find the problem, I later found out what a rip off that was), I called 4 other companies to get quotes. To keep a long story short, the President of Greater Comfort was the one who came to my house and give me a quote from his company. Not only was he courteous and honest, but he blew everyone else out of the water when it came to price. Matching up the evaporator coils with the exact brand (and recommended) of my A/C unit, the replacement cost just under $800. Of the 4 other companies, including the original company that looked at it, there wasn't a quote under $1,000, and three of the quotes were over $1,200. That's a BIG price difference. The work was done professionally and in a timely fashion. I would like to thank my wife who talked me into calling around to get quotes, as I was going to have the first company do the work. I will be using Greater Comfort from now on for all of my heating and A/C work.
