Review content:
I was surprised to find out that most bail bond agencies in Los Angeles require a face to face meeting to issue a bail surety bond.
Last week my son was driving home with his friend after a long day and night. His friend fell asleep and forgot that my son mentioned to him that he was a little sleepy. Just to make this long story short after a couple of minutes my son fell a sleep and hit a parked car. The police was called and started interviewing my son. They asked him if he had anything to drink; while trying to be honest he told the police officer that he had one beer.
The police officer arrested him for drinking and driving with an accident. The bail amount was $100,000. I was surprised at the amount but later found out that it's the standard amount in California.
After getting a call from his friend I quickly researched bail agencies in the Los Angeles areas. I called about 10 agencies but only one company was willing to complete the paperwork over the phone, fax and email.
Again I was surprised that all the companies I called told me that I would have to meet face to face to get it done. The one company who was willing to help was Sterling Bail Bonds. Cesar helped me complete the paperwork and explained the process. After I was done I used the hotel business center to fax everything back. I gave them my credit card information and that was it. Cesar who was very helpful and ended up writing the bond; even drove my son back home.
I would highly recommend this agency to individuals who are out of town and need this done without collateral or a face to face meeting.
