Portland is well on the way to national prominence with restaurants like the Carlyle added to it's list of other top notch eateries. I just could not find anything to be critical of...and what a gorgeous room! Boston could use a few Carlyle's.
Starting with the maitre de, the service was consistently professional and friendly. The bartender, polite and clearly talented, described how several 'house infusion' cocktails were made and easily described the wines available by the glass.
Every plate of food looked great and tasted even better - exceeding my expectations with every bite.
I could go on...but this restaurant really gets it right - highly recommended.
