This restaurant was the single worst sushi experience I have ever had in my life. I was traveling through West Virginia on my way home to NC. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, and a house roll. They tasted awful and the tuna was tough and greyish in color. When I tried to add some soy sauce to cover the flavor, I realized the soy sauce was spoiled, probably from lack of washing the bottles. It tasted like someone had added pure salt to the bottles. The tempura I ordered was even worse, with large hunks of vegetable that weren't cooked, and when I bit into one the batter was still RAW!!! I threw up all the way home to NC while driving, and had stomach cramps for three days afterwards. Not only was the food bad, but the service was inattentive, sloppy, and just plain nasty. I SAW one of the waitresses wipe her nose with her hand. She wasn't my waitress, but it was still disgusting. After I was done not-eating, (because I couldn't choke down most of my dinner despite the fact I hadn't eaten since 10 AM that morning and it was now 6pm.) it took me nearly twenty minutes to get my check. I called the restaurant the next day to ask for a refund. I was assured of a refund by a man on the phone, who took my name, number, address, and the amount. Two weeks later, I hadn't heard from them, so I called the restaurant again. This time, the manager (a very heavily accented Asian man), claimed that he had no idea whom I spoke to (and yes, I checked the number in my phone records), and that there would be no refund unless I got a doctor's note confirming I was really sick. I asked him how he expected me to get a doctor to agree I had really been sick without being able to examine me during the time of distress? He reiterated that was company policy. I asked him to send me a copy of this policy in writing, and he refused. I asked to speak to the owner, and he refused again. Needless to say, I wouldn't suggest you eat here unless you enjoy throwing up. Pros: None. Cons: Bad food, spoiled soy sauce, poor service, bad hygiene.
