Review content:
I'm from New Orleans and we are used to eating out a lot. After 13 years in Orlando we've come to not expect too much from most of the food. We had friends tell us that this place was really good so we tried the location just a few miles from us in Winter Garden. It was a Thursday night and they had an ok crowd so i was thinking ""maybe it will be really good."" Not. I'm not gonna mix feelings about the service and stick with simply judging the food. The service was acceptable and i'd rank it average but the food.... I'm not a big drinker but i do love a good 'rita so we both ordered a house margarita. It had no liquor, period. There is no way it could have had any, none, nada, just country time lemonade. I also love good chips and salsa so i was looking forward to some excellent chips, nope, they serve generic T0stit0s from Sam's or somewhere, no warm, crispy, fresh-fried chips here. The salsa(?) if you could call it salsa. I will try to describe it the most accurate way i can. Watered down tomato juice, with some dried minced onion soaked in it and a dash of T0basc0 sauce. I actually ended up using the bottle of Melinda's sauce plain to put on the chips since you couldn't get any of their stuff to stick to the chip at all. So far, not so good. I ordered the enchilada platter cause it figured that's a staple and pretty hard to mess up. Wrong. Cold tortillas from the store, thick and floury and not even close to homemade. The beef in the enchilada was exactly that...gound beef. Not a hint of seasoning that i could detect...just browned ground beef in a tortilla. Not even any sauce to speak of on it...served dry. I ate the cheese enchilada just to not waste the whole plate. The beans were pasty and bland and the rice was Mahatma or some other store bought mix. I ate nothing else. My wife had the Chili Rellanos or i should say ordered them. I know ""relanno"" simply means ""re-filled"" but she was expecting stuffed with cheese... if they used any it had long run away leaving only an over-battered, mushy chilli with an empty heart. We paid, left, and won't return.
