I shopped at St. Vincent De Pauls for about 7 years every saturday morning. There were about 25-35 people who would stand in line waiting for the store to open on Saturday mornings. It kind of got to be a family of people who got to know each other. Since the Catholic Board of Directors appointed a new manage about Jan. 1, 2008, everything changed. There are no more good buys there, in my opinion, along with the opinions of the other regular people. There might be 5-6 of the people in the store on Saturdays, now, opposed to the number of people that would shop there on Saturdays. I've been told that most of them are going to rummage sales and estate sales. I used to spend approximately $130.00 a month there buying clothes and collectables. I've spent about $6.00 there in about the last 30 days. I think they are stockpiling the donations somewhere else, or selling things on the internet. The prices there are now out of this world. I really miss going there on Saturdays but I guess that's what happens when you bring in new management. I'll be glad when the rummage sales start. \r \r Thomas Richards\r \r Pros: There are no long lines anymore because the customers have dropped off so bad. Cons: I don't have to get out of be early anymore so I get a good place in line before they open.
