Review content:
My wedding is coming up and I called affordable flowers in Birmingham to ask about pillars for my ceremony. They said that they would be 30 dollars for the pair, but they only rented them out if they did your weddings flowers for you. Now my centerpieces are going to be glass vases with wooden flowers in them. My older brother who is giving me away has sensitivity to smells because he has lupus so I am trying to keep flowers to a minimum, hence the wooden centerpieces and bridal boquet only. I didn't explain the details to the lady on the phone but I said that the only flowers I would be purchasing for my wedding would be the bridal boquet and asked if that would work. She said it would. So i went in there with my grandma and my aunt to look at the pillars... \r
\r
Heres where is got bad \r
\r
A man walked up to us (middle aged probably 40s or early 50s, his name may have been sam) and asked what we were looking for. I told him pillars for a wedding and that I had called earlier and he lead us into their side room to see them. The shorter ones were alright, but the tall one had yellow stains on it so I told my grandma we would pass on the tall ones because of the stains(wierd). Then he started telling us that you could only rent the pillars if they did our wedding because if someone else spent $5,000 dollars with them they wanted them to have the option of renting their pillars. (I get that, I was already explained that on the phone) I told him that I was planning on doing my bridal boquet there, but that was all the flowers I was doing for my wedding. Then he said ""what about the on top of the pillars?"" \r
My grandma said ""we were thinking a fern maybe"" \r
He said ""I find that HIGHLY unlikely""---- really rude and sarcastic \r
At this point I said ""lets go"" to my grandma and aunt because I wasn't going to be patronized by this guy. So we start walking out and he was in front of us walking away with his back to us and he FLIPPED US THE BIRD. This was a MIDDLE AGED GROWN MAN, flipping me the bird!!! I have no idea why???!! The lady on the phone said that a bridal boquet was fine! Oh my god! Id like to mention that my grandma is 70 years old. \r
I didn't pick a fight because that is not worth it. We were having a fun day doing wedding stuff. Anyone who is that rude to a grandma or anyone else for that matter does not deserve my business.
