Review content:
Shiraz is the go to place in the city for Armenian and Middle Eastern home style cooking. At any given day Armenian, Greek, French and English speaking patrons flood this gem of a restaurant for a bit of authentic, homestyle fare. The Shiraz does not dissapoint. The menu has all the standards, the usual array of kebabs and kibbee. The pilaf is served hot and buttery, salads, greek style egg and lemon soup is pure comfort food, hearty stews and their famously popular roll up sandwiches are great fast food take out-(enough for two). An unusually tasty selection of vegetarian fare; hummus, eggplant dips, vegetable roll ups and lentil pilafs to name a few. Enjoy scooping out the mezza style appetizers with the freshest bread in the city...a generous basketful. \r
The salads are crisp, fresh and oversized. Love the Greek salad with the Lamb Kebab!\r
My very favorite is the Armenian burger called a ""Losh Kebab"" is the best value in the city at 7.50 during lunch it is served with choice of salad or soup. Enough to take home for a late night snack! \r
The tahn is a tart ice cold yogurt drink that is pleasntly tart, rich and addictive. \r
I leave the review of desserts to another as I have never had room to indulge!\r
The Shiraz offers the best Middle Eastern Food in the city served up by a cheerful, accomodating wait staff.\r
Pros: Authentic Armenian Middle Eastern & Vegetarian Food. Excellent Quality & Value
Cons: None. This will become a regular stop for you!
