Review content:
Finally, this place puts Manhattan Beach on the culinary map. This is one of the best places for sushi that I've had in L.A., much less the South Bay. The chef comes from the Iron Chef circle, so the fish is really fresh and the robata grill and hot entrees are also excellent. \r

The environment reminds me a lot of Nobu, and the level and type of food are up to par. Recommended food items include: the spicy tuna on crispy rice, the chicken meatball and cod skewers from the robata grill, and the tuna, tuna, salmon roll. I can't wait to go back to try other menu items since everything looked really good.\r
\r
Definitely a welcome addition to otherwise pretty bland restaurant offerings in Manhattan Beach. Of note, they are not open for lunch.
Pros: Excellent sushi at reasonable prices; Some of the best sushi I've had in L.A.
Cons: The fact that it took so long for a restaurant like this to come to Manhattan Beach
