Businiess name:  Mercado Del Rio Car Wash

Review content:
I am disappointed to have to write this review. I live in Oro Valley, where my family and I go out of our way to support the local small businesses. We have been trying to support this car wash since it opened in 2007. We have endured high prices, long waits and mediocre car washes because we know it must be difficult to get a business like that up and running, and as said in other reviews, they will follow you around your car and finish the job while you point out the things they missed -- some happily, some not. It seems that over time things have gotten worse rather than better. It has become ridiculous how much re-doing they require. Once, I had been waiting already over 45 minutes and saw my car being driven away from the detailing area towards the back of the business. When I was finally able to find someone to ask where my car was going, he told me it had sat in the sun too long before being dried and needed to go through the machine again! I have yet to remove the water spot damage, and they were unwilling to do more than wash it again. Since then I have stopped recommending this place to my friends as I used to. I, however, continued to give them a chance, regrettably. Yesterday, after arriving home from having my car washed and was redoing the windows, I noticed the wiper mechanism on the rear window was sticking up. When I tried to put it down, I realized it had been broken off, stuck back on, and the wiper underneath was gone. I called the car wash and was very rudely told that they have a sign stating that they take no responsibility for things like that. When I began to tell the man that after four years of loyalty he was about to lose a good customer, HE HUNG UP ON ME! When I called back to ask his name, which I couldn't remember if it was Ron, or Don, or some other similar name, he asked me if I was the lady who had just called, and then said, ""Ummm, Jasper,"" and hung up on me again. It is a shame that this local business, which had the support of the whole community to begin with, has lost my business, and probably that of many others because of an inability to be honest and respectful. Why should I pay higher prices, wait longer times, and still have to detail my own car at the end if they are not going to treat me, and my car, with respect. I'll be joining that other reviewer and taking my car to Capin from now on.
