Review content:
I can only echo the sentiment of the other reviews; non-existent customer service and a complete unwillingness to provide any semblance of customer satisfaction. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in April of 2011. This was in spite of Consumer Reports listing the Maytag as one of the most repair-prone make of dishwasher. The salesman convinced me that the report was outdated and nothing could further from the truth. The control panel failed in February 2012. I went to complain that I felt that I was sold a bill of goods and a lemon. A salesman (not the one who sold me the unit, though) basically said that he doesn’t make’em he only sells’em and he’s not responsible once he’s done with the sale. He said that if he had to replace every unit in order to make a customer happy they’d be out of business so what would I do if I were him? The first replacement sent out was non-functioning and used. The second panel worked for a month and then quit (May, 2012). I went back to APSCO in Clearwater to complain again and although I had yet another salesman the script was the same – not his problem, talk to service and that it was more than a year so the warranty was up so I was probably out of luck. I mentioned that the replacement part was only a month old. He reiterated – not his problem. I said that I felt that I was sold a bill of goods and a lemon and if APSCO’s priority was 100% customer satisfaction as noted on their website that I would like the unit simply replaced. We then said that my statement was “crazy”. I protested that I wasn’t crazy to expect customer service. He clarified by saying he wasn’t calling me crazy just my statement. When I said that I have a refrigerator, stove and microwave all over 10 years and a dry about 15 years old and they will all need to be replaced (some sooner than later) he was throwing away a good repeat customer (I had also purchased a washing machine in 2011) he simple shrugged and returned to his newspaper and ignored me.
