I have had experiences with about 6 boat yards on the East and West coast and they all seem to have the same feel to them. People are grumpy, out to get your money, and make you feel like an idiot.
Not here. The staff at the boatyard is extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The previous owner of my boat let maintenance lapse and I needed a new propeller shaft. They showed me why it was needed (corrosion and pitting obvious to the eye), worked with my schedule, gave an accurate quote, and did the work expertly. Victor and his crew pay attention to detail. They also stand by their work. Their prices seem reasonable. The cost of an out-haul was similar to what I paid in San Pedro and Oxnard.
