I was so lucky to find D & K Automotive on Craigslist about 9 month ago. We have 3 cars in our household, the newest being 5 years old. I needed to have the air conditioning repaired in my 11 year old minivan, and estimates from other repair shops were around $1500. After diagnosing the problem, Dan gave me an estimate that was half price of the other shops. He and his staff completed the repair for $800 and it works perfectly. They had to remove my entire dash and assembly to make the repairs. Due to the age of my minivan, a plastic part in the dash broke while repairs were being performed. When I told Dan what had happened, he had to search nationwide to find a replacement part, since the factory no longer carried the part. He found the part , had it shipped here, and installed it at no charge. Since then, D & K has performed maintenance and repairs on all 3 of our vehicles at unbelievably reasonable prices. Their work is always expertly done using high quality parts. Dan always lets me know what my options are and lets me know when I do not need to have work done that has been recommended by a car dealership's repair shop. I still have a manufacturer's extended warranty on one vehicle, but D & K does a better, cheaper job than the dealer warranty provides. I trust Dan and his staff so much now, that I don't even ask them to diagnose and give me an estimate or ask for my prior approval before they perform the maintenance needed.
Being a single woman, it is awesome to have found such an honest, trustworthy, and affordable auto repair shop. I recommend them to everyone I know.
