Review content:
We went to the Wolfgang Puck Cafe in City Walk in Universal City after touring Universal Studios for the day. With the reputation of Wolfgang Puck's food, we were looking forward to tasting this restaurant's cuising. The service was very good and attentive and the decor was bright and lively. The restaurant was full on a Friday night. \r

The food, however, was disappointing. The teriyaki salmon was fishy to the point that neither my wife nor I could eat it. The accompanying potatoes and sauce were fine. The rigatoni with italian sausage was good but pedestrian. It lacked any sparkle. It was not notable beyond a reasonably well prepared dish. The best meal of the night turned out to be my daughter's pepperoni pizza. It had a nice combination of sauce and cheese. \r

In fairness, there were a number of patrons that seemed to be enjoying themselves. The sliders (small meatball sandwiches as an appetizer) and various pizzas were ordered by a number of other tables and seemed to be enjoyable. The kitchen may have had an off night on our dinners, but future patrons should be aware that the quality of the food does not live up to the reputation of the restaurant's namesake.
