So...it's not a New York deli. If you want a New York deli go to/stay in New York! That said: I'm not saying Saul's is perfect, but it's pretty good. I'm especially glad (on my last visit) that they have stopped the outrageous practice of charging for the pickles.
I love the chopped liver and the Reuben sandwiches. The chicken soup is tasty, and I'm always in the mood for a cold bowl of Borscht topped with a dollop of sour cream.
I'm not crazy about the service. It ranges from okay to atrocious.
Pros: lovely chopped liver, tasty soups
