You can't beat Coast Motor Werk if you have a BMW. I'd been going to the BMW dealership for servicing the whole time I'd had my BMW. I had put 150,000 miles on it, and was still going to the dealership when I noticed that the dealer kept on referring to other dealers for help on problems. I did some research, came across Coast Motor Werk, and noticed that all their mechanics had BMWs. That got to me.
My timing belt came loose while I was driving on the freeway. I took it into the dealership to be fixed, and they charged me $5,000 without even fixing it right. Coast Motor Werk took half the time and charged me less than half of what the dealer had charged. They did all the work over again with brand new parts. That was in late 2007, and ever since then, I've been going there and they've done everything on my BMW. I have referred quite a few people there and they all have the same testimony. The environment is excellent. It feels more like you're going to a business meeting than a mechanic's shop, and the shop and bathrooms are all clean. I would never go to anybody else.
