Review content:
Let me preface this by saying I've spent a lot of time on the West Coast and am quite picky when it comes to restaurants. When a friend told me that the best fish tacos he'd ever eaten were in Louisville, Kentucky I just laughed. But after eating at Bazo's, I'd have to agree - their fish tacos put Wahoos, Fin's, and Rubio's to shame. I don't know how they do it, but somehow this little independent restaurant in the middle of Kentucky is turning out some of the best baja-style Mexican food around. \r

The restaurant can be hard to find if you're not familiar with the area (it's not on a main road), but it's definitely worth checking out. The menu is the standard fare of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, etc. but what sets Bazo's apart from the other chains is that they actually do make everything fresh onsite, including their salsas and guacamole. Their prices are reasonable ($4-$6 for most items) and the portions are pretty big. Their specialties are the fish and shrimp tacos, but everything I've tried there is great. They've got a decent number of vegetarian options, but the only one I've tried is their cream of black bean soup - it's to die for! They do have beer, but no margaritas or other alcoholic beverages. The service is adequate (never had a problem) and the place is always clean. It can get busy during lunch, but I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. \r

Overall, Bazo's is one of the best Mexican grills I've ever come across. The only way it could be any better was if they served margaritas.
Pros: Fresh, Tasty Food at a Reasonable Price
Cons: Only one location. No margaritas.
