Review content:
I really like Jim's Donuts. I am a serious lover of sweets, and the Dayton area isn't exactly overflowing with great mom-and-pop bakeries and/or other goodie shops.
My family and I have frequented Jim's Donuts at least once a month for the past several months. So you could say that all in all, I've visited perhaps 10-12 times, each time purchasing a dozen.
On two separate occasions, I have found a hair in the frosting of my donuts. The first time, I shrugged it off, figuring that anyone can have a fluke. But twice? In less than a year's time? From the same place? That's unacceptable.
Needless to say, each time I've found a hair, it has all but wiped out my appetite and actually made me feel a bit queasy (mentally, at least). And that's a crying shame, since I love a good donut!
I suppose my search for donuts in the area is back on. I can no longer frequent this shop since I'm now officially paranoid about what I might find. In the era of hairnets and rather strict health and sanitation standards, this is highly disappointing. Feel free to eat there if you're a little less squeamish than I, but if you're anything like me, go elsewhere.
Pros: Good, fresh donuts
Cons: I question their cleanliness.
