I wish we would have read the review from Google on 3/25/11, it would have saved us the heartbreak! My parents recently fell in love with and applied for a kitten at this shelter. They are experienced cat owners and were over-qualified to adopt the kitten. However, 5 days after they applied they were told the kitten was adopted out to someone else simply because the second applicant wanted to buy this kitten as well as another kitten. All my parents were told is that they could make the hour-long drive back out to Pataskala to pick out another kitten. These people treat animals like they are commodities, but my parents had found a new family member. I also suspect their application was never processed, as I was listed as a reference and never contacted. It is not worth it to go here, I just hope these reviews save other people from going through this.
