Review content:
Ever since we moved to Kingstowne my husband and I have been taking our cars to Kingstowne Auto Care, located around the corner from the Blockbuster. They have a really convenient drop-off program for minor repairs where you can drop your car off in the morning before work and it will be ready to pick up by 6 pm. This is really great. We did have one problem with Kingstowne Auto Care. My husband’s car needed a tune-up, and it took them several days to work on it. On the day it was ready, my husband called them around 4 pm to let them know he’d be there before 6 pm to pick up the car. He walked all the way from the Springfield metro station (actually not that bad of a walk and it works out if your workplace is metro-accessible on the days you need to leave your car) and got there well before 5:30 pm and whoever was manning the store had left for the day. No note, no explanation, nothing. The sign on the door still said they were open until 6 pm. This was incredibly inconvenient, as I couldn’t get home from work until 7 pm. My husband went and had a beer at Chili’s across the street until I got home. When we went in the next morning to finally pick up the car, they didn’t have much of an excuse and didn’t even offer to give us a discount or anything for our troubles. Bottom line, most of our experiences have been good but based on this last experience I wouldn’t always count on being able to pick up your car at 6 pm.
