Review content:
Our air conditioner was not producing very cold air so we called Kop's for assistance. The service fee is $125, which is high (others were $50). When they came, they did a ""diagnostic"" of the unit and came in with ""It will be $1,150 to do an overhaul of the system, but since the system is 19 years old, you may want to replace it for upwards of $7,000"". We asked if there was a way to add freon for just this season and we would look to replace next year. They ""magically"" came down on the overhaul price to $850. When we asked the cost for just freon, he said $750. When I spoke to them further and asked why so high - the reply was ""because you need it now and it's emergency so we can charge more"". Then I said, but if I call someone else, it will be lower...he said ""I know, you are right."" I said if they were willing to work with us, we would go back to them for the full system. He said ""$600"". We called another company and got the freon for $150. CROOKS!! Don't use them!!
