Review content:
My parents were visiting me from India and we were driving back to Portland from Crater Lake on a rainy night. We decided to have a nice Indian meal for dinner and I searched for Indian restaurants in Eugene. I didn't expect to find many options and I couldn't tell if a place like ""Taste of India"" would be any special since the name alone was pretty generic (which American city does NOT have an Indian restaurant with that name?).
Let me tell you that we were VERY pleasantly surprised. The food was AWESOME. The portions were MORE than generous. The service was super fast and the people who handled our orders were extremely courteous, polite and charming. Overall, I am so happy we decided to stop here. The Shahi Paneer is definitely a royal treat. Remember that the naans (tandoori flat breads) are pretty big in size! Well, we certainly weren't complaining!
