Businiess name:  The Bent Fork

The Bent Fork is truly god's gift to mankind. Not only are the owners, Liz and Mike, the nicest, but they have the most divine pastries. Whenever I go in, they are so warm and funny (and often sneak me free samples!), and since they expanded and now offer a sit down area, its a great place to bring the kids, or friends, or even eat a cupcake while you smell the sweet air and watch the constant stream of customers. I highly recommend any of the cupcakes (the chocolate/banana, raspberry, or lemon curd are my top picks) or the chocolate chip banana bread, or the double dipped ""peanut buttah"" cookies are incredible, though you really can't go wrong with any of their treats. If you're downtown and don't feel like making the trip, start considering it because there is no bakery in chicago like it. Or, if you're lazy, they often cater parties and their gift baskets make great gifts for family, friends, or even clients. For the next time you want to order a cake, send a gift, or just be submerged in chocolate nirvana...GO TO THE BENT FORK! Pros: Incredible desserts, beautiful cakes, fun & exciting atmosphere, easy parking Cons: There aren't more of them!!!
