I switched to one of the voice over internet phone deals about three months ago and little did I know (until I found out the hard way!!) that my Brinks alarm panel wouldnt even send a signal if my house got broken in to! I was furious to say the least. Then I called them and they basically said, 'tough' its not our fault. My coworker recommended Smith Thompson and they came out and totally swapped out my stuff in about an hour (cost was only about $ 89 for everything, not bad). Super service, nice technician. Can't complain about the prices either, half of what I was paying. *** VIP*** Beware if you don't have 'real' phone service or your using one of the fabulous fake phone things, your alarm probably won't work!! The Uplink cellular option is really a good thing. Very happy.
