Review content:
I have eaten at this estabilshment since I was a child. This use to be my Mother's favorite place, and we would go there for dinner or lunch sometimes. They've had really good food at a good price, and use to have great service.
What turned me off and has made me not want to eat there ever again was the way I was treated by the person who seated us. I'm not sure if he was part of the family that owns the place, balding middle age average build. This guy barely said two words to us when we came in.
On the way to the table, I mentioned that we would like a booth. He rolled his eyes, didn't say anything as he turned around and almost blasted right through me.
After he guided us to our table like animals to a trough, he threw down the menus and walked away. This bothered us enough to get up and leave. As we were walking out the door, our normal server even came after us and said ""hey, where are you guys going?"". It really hurt me to have to leave, that particular server has been really good.
So if you want decent food and a decent price, and don't care if your treated like garbage La Puente is the place for you. If you have a sliver of self-respect or like to be treated like you matter then go else where.
They lost a 20 year loyal customer because of horrible service in just one instant.
