I have been to the Melting Pawt (what, I can't type out the whole word? Stupid PC police) twice and both experiences were wonderful. I'm not sure how anyone could complain that the portions are too small - we were both entirely STUFFED on both visits, and we had to take home our cooked food leftovers. In fact, I often tell people to only get cheese and chocolate, not a dinner, or they're going to get way too much food. The service you receive, and the way you're allowed to take your time (you can't rush and finish all the courses) make dinner at the Melting Pawt a special occasion. The slower pace will cause you to feel almost too full (if you eat it all!) The last time I went was on my birthday, and it was so romantic, and a really great 2 hours (if not longer)! I hope to go back for my next special occasion. I definitely recommend this place for dates, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I noticed that someone said ""don't bring the kiddos,"" but the last time I was there, some children were there for a birthday party. Seems to be a very family-friendly place. Even with lots of people there, the booths are almost like private rooms. The food is amazing - dessert is my favorite.
