Review content:
Con: I used to be a regular here until they did away with the fresh cut fries, which are essential to any good burger experience. Frozen fries are so ersatz.
Pro: The burger itself is decent. Messy like it should be. You can get whatever you want: grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, bacon, etc. The poppy seed bun is unique.
Con: Mayo comes default instead of mustard, which is weak. This is Texas; real men eat mustard. Sometimes I accidentally forget to ask for mustard and end up with mayo, so then I have to either a) settle and eat it anyway if my lunch hour is limited, or b) hassle with asking them to change it.
Pro: classic small-town, old-school atmosphere like an ice house. Bottled beer and sodas in tubs of ice. The Galaga arcade game is fun to play while waiting for my order.
Pro: lady behind register was friendly. At busy lunch hour, the long line moved quickly, and the food came promptly.
Pro: the fresh-brewed sweat tea is good.
