Review content:
Several years ago, my wife was bugging me about going to a hot dog place called Wild About Harry's, becuase she wanted to try their custard. She hates hot dogs and, up to that point, I only ate them at ball games. However, I'm glad her pestering paid off, as I was quick to learn that there is indeed a difference between a steamed Vienna Beef dog in a poppy seed bun than the standard thing you get wrapped in foil at sporting events.\r

The menu features a number of specialty hot dogs, not the least of which is the Chicago style dog, featuring sport pepppers, tomatoes, bright green relish and celery salt, among other toppings; you need a knife and fork for this bad boy. Personally, I prefer just mustard and onions, but occasionally I'll give a nod to my youth in Mississippi and have a slaw dog, which replaces cole slaw for onions in the former variation.\r
\r
Harry's an Oklahoma native, and is always friendly with customers, particulalry my 5 year old daughter who he always recognizes and calls ""sweetie"". It turns out his own daughter and I were at the same college in Louisiana at the same time, and he once sold clothing to some of the stores in my hometown. The place is located fairly close to the well-heeled Dallas neighborhood of Highland Park, and there have been reported sightings of Ross Perot, Jr. and Troy Aikman partaking of Harry's dogs and homemade custard.\r
