Review content:
I just got a takeout sandwich from Bubba Slye's about thirty minutes ago. I agree, they are very 'slye'. I got back to my office and unwrapped my sandwich, i'm not a big man but i like a healthy lunch and i was very hungry after a hard days work. I found two of the smallest pieces of chicken i've ever seen on probably the biggest hoagie roll they could find! Where's the beef, I mean chicken! After ripping about 75% of the 'sandwich' (a.k.a. bread) off, there wasn't much left. Though it was tasty, it barely qualified as a snack in my diet. Again, I'm not huge (6'0, 180lbs) but I doubt this sandwich could have even filled up my teenage sister-in-law. This was the first time i've gone back to Bubba Slye's since i was at the College of Charleston, almost 10 years ago. I remembered quickly why i had not gone back in so long...big prices for not much food. I had to go to another local sandwich shop to supplement my lunch (Jimmy John's - worth the LOWER price since the sandwich is much larger) and doubled my cost for one meal. I'm sorry I realize in today's economy we all have to cut back, but not at the price of providing a reasonable product for the money. I don't eat out every day, i can't afford to. Paying twice for one lunch is a true offense in my book. I will not ever return to Bubba Slye's and unless you're on the 'not nearly enough food diet', I wouldn't either.
Pros: tasty
Cons: not much to taste
