Review content:
I got a puppy last spring, my first one... I went to this particular clinic because I heard that they were excellent with dogs and puppies. My first visit was a first time check up, it went well, at first! The front desk woman was kind and greeted me with an enthusiastic smile; however, when I was called into the room, one of the several vet tech's they have there, hardly acted like she wanted to be there... being a first time puppy owner, I had a lot of questions and concerns.... all of which she did little to alleviate. They acted like I had no idea why I was bringing my dog in... Now, to fill you in more, I received my dog from the local SPCA... I admire that organization and agreed to get all of my puppies first shots there, as I signed this into contract upon receiving of my dog, once I informed A to Z of this, they tried to sway me to get them done there, I asked why and the woman made a face, well I stated I had signed a contract and that I would follow that out. Well the doctor came in and the first thing that was said to her was by the vet tech, letting her know that I was getting the shots done at SPCA and not there.... once again I explained I signed a contract saying that I would.... come to find out later, that the only reason was they charged more. The vet was rude and didn't want to answer my questions, saying she had a busy schedule and that I could call up there later.... wrong move, part of being a doctor is patient education... especially for first time ones. After this i thought well, maybe I will stay here. My dog had an inverted vulva and was plagued with frequent Vaginal infections. I noticed a green discharge and the fact that she was always was peeing all over the yard instead on one or two spots, I took her in and they gave me a different doctor, she did a test and she had the infection, they gave me three medicines, one for the infection, one for her bladder, and another for pain and inflammation. After a week of the medication, I took her in for a follow up as stated by the doctor. When I got there, I was once again given to another vet tech, and the original doctor, I told her I was there for a follow up for her vaginal infection, I made it very clear that it was for a vaginal infection, and assumed that they had in their notes as well. Well the rude doctor, checked for a UTI, and my dog was fine, even after I asked once again, if they tested for a vaginal infection. Well come to find a day later, the discharge was still there, the doctor had no info in the chart that there was a vaginal infection, let alone any one at all, and informed me to come in. So I drove back, they tested her for the original infection, and charged me for more medicine as well as the entire visit on a mistake that they made.
My dog also had ticks and I had taken her in for a dip as well as some medicine, after the intial course of medicine, I called in a new prescription for the same medicine, and drove there only to be charged for three times the amount. Well, turns out the original was a sample, and I had to drive home and get more money and go back. I got the medicine in a bag and once again, drove home only to find the medicine was meant for a dog half her size.... Mistake again! and I had to drive out there again! Well turns out they were out of the same medicine for a dog my dog's size, and wanted me to buy some more expensive stuff. I really couldn't afford it, and asked for my money back and went elsewhere.
