** (This review is for the Addison location ) Mexican food is my most favorite. I've been to Los Lupes in Addison many many times, as it is just a few blocks from where I live. I would rate the service quite good most of the time. (Avoid happy hour on Friday, it's a madhouse, chaotic, loud, and service drops several notches) Nice atmosphere, funky decor. The most outstanding menu item - the El Jefe margaritas. YUM !! a bargain @ $7.00. Al, one of the bartenders, makes the very best !! As for the food, I would rate it just average, but it certainly is the most inexpensive mexican food around. Their prices are just amazing. My favorite dish is the taco salad with shredded chicken., guacamole, sour cream, etc. Ingredients are fresh, and the serving is ample. The chips and salsa are okay, I've had better elsewhere. If you order cheese enchiladas, be sure to add fresh chopped onions on top (adds to the flavor), and specify if you want chili con carne or chili con queso on top. Sometimes the server gets confused as to which sauce to apply. Yes, I will go back. It's a fun place and an inexpensive meal."" Pros: El Jefe Margaritas, atmosphere, service, value Cons: Food just average, avoid Friday nights
