Review content:
I would not recommend La Tasca to anyone who truly loves tapas and the whole experience surrounding it. I've been there twice; once to try and again to give it another shot because they are so close to where we live and the set-up is decent. Sadly, the results were the same.\r \r The menu was OVERPRICED and misleading. The food was MEDIOCRE at best. The portions were thin relative to other tapas restaurants. The service was HORRENDOUS. The sangria was watered-down with so much ice and fruit that we barely got four small glasses. To top it all off, the waitstaff overcharged my card on BOTH visits for a combined $40 ($20 each time), even after the generous tip I left them. This seems to be a common practice as my friend told me they had dome the same to him. To me, it's not about the money, but the principle. I confronted the management, who seemed less than concerned. No solutions were offered. \r \r Overall, the food tastes less than mediocre, the service was horrible, and the whole operation is shady. Do not go to La Tasca, unless you like being overcharged, scammed, and treated with disregard. If you do go, remember to save your receipt. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere and having a much nicer experience where you won't feel like you're being shammed around every corner.
