Where to begin? When we moved in to our rental house, in the dead of summer, we were told by our new neighbors that the house had been empty for some time. The air conditioner did not work and it took over a week to get it fixed. People had been working in the house but no one noticed? Really? When we renewed our lease, like some diabolical clock was at work, AC goes out again. Yup. Another sweltering summer week to get it fixed. Tree branch growing into the awning. Not their problem. Not my tree. What am I, an Arborist? Dining room window glass duct taped in. We told them we would like to have it fixed. ""Alacrity"" not in their dictionary. Wind blew the window in, frame and all. Luckily, our grandchild wasn't near it. Fed up with high water bills I fixed the toilet. Told not to do that. Who fixes things then. \r
Had a city inspector walk through the house. He wrote a letter, original still in my possession, stating the poor state of the property. Included items were rotten wood siding, black mold throughout AC system, water damage under carpeting, and (yucks) snakes coming through the bathroom floor. While none of these things are actionable under code, they do illustrate the shoddy way they maintain their customers property and treat their tenants. They even deducted from our deposit monies to cover items that we reported as missing during our original walkthrough. \r
For those who might think of us as late rent paying, house destroying nabobs, we never were late. Ever. We were told not to clean yet my wife cleaned that house from one end to another. We got charged anyway. \r
PMC is the most disreputable management company it has ever been my misfortune to do business with.\r
That's my two cents. Thanks for your attention.
